How to make baseball interesting?

There are generally 2 types of people I find: those who like baseball, and those who like most every other team sport. In hockey and soccer, there's a lot of straightforward action, and seems exciting, but I can never seem to stay excited for the entire game. Baseball is more about tense situations as building excitement. Even though nothing might be happening, and others would find this the boring part, there's the tension of what that next pitch could mean.
