Why are we trying to remove Co2 from the atmosphere...?

We are trying to take co2 out of the air because we have dumped to much into the air by our activities(such as burning fossil fuels). Thus the air will be warmer but that doesn't mean that planet life will necessarily flourish. If we continue global warming, we will melt the polar ice caps, flooding many cities and putting extinct the polar bears and penguins. Yes some plants might flourish but what about others? Some planets need cold to survive. What about them!!! Your saying that by adding co2 we are letting the plants flourish but are we??? no we aren't because by adding more co2 we are just letting some plants dominate others and other plants becoming extinct. If you think that that is helping plants flourish then you are crazy! Because in Global Warming the amount of Co2 we have emmited dwarfs the already small water vapor. Of all the gases there is only 0.037% of water vapor. Why would it be a main gas in Global Warming?
